Title: I knew I loved you before I met you (2/?)
Pairing: Haehyuk
Genre: Romance, slight angst
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: If they were mine, do you think I would be here just writing fics? -_-
Summary: I still don't know what to write here. I hope the title is attractive enough to make you read this
A/N: I'm more or less decided on how the story will go on. I'm still too busy to write but I'll update whenever I have some free time like I did today. You might find this chapter boring since it's long but nothing really happens. However I had to write it so you can have an idea about DongHae's character. Enough ranting, I hope you enjoy reading this and please don't be silent. All your comments are welcome and appreciated ^^
Chapter 1
*****
DongHae was a successful young man. After graduating from a notorious university, he didn't face any problem to find a more than suitable job in a well-known firm. He was intelligent, active and most of all a very good looking man. Everything was perfect in his life, almost. Unexpectingly, DongHae's unique problem was his love life. Not that no one wanted him, not at all. He was one of the most popular and admired men by women (and even men) and for that he was also one of the most envied. Everybody wanted DongHae. However, for some reason, the young man had never showed any interest in anyone. His friends had never understood his position. Though many attractive persons tempted him to have even just a one-night stand, he had never given in. Only his closest friends knew the reason behind it and it wasn't something you expect from someone with a strong personality and a perfect playboy image (though he wasn't one) like DongHae. Actually, DongHae was a romantic and sensitive guy who simply believed in love. He truly believed that there's that one special person only meant for him and for whom he's only meant. He trusted that fate will bring them together when the right time comes...
*****
It was almost 7pm and DongHae was still in his office, working. Suddenly his cellphone rang, signalling he received a message. He smiled when he read it. It was from LeeTeuk, his senior in high school and his closest friend that he considered more as a brother. It had been a while since they last met and LeeTeuk happened to be nearby DongHae's office for some business. He was asking him to meet in the café around the corner. DongHae stretched his arms lazily before getting up. He grabbed his jacket then left to meet his friend. Minutes later, the two men were tightly hugging each other. DongHae really missed his friend's warm embrace. Though he was social and had many friends, none of them was as caring and trustworthy as LeeTeuk. He was lonely despite the many people that surrounded him every day. but with only LeeTeuk beside him, he felt warm again. They sat facing each other and just talked, like in old times.
-"How have you been? Are you eating well and taking good care of your health?" asked the older, his angel smile failing to hide his concerned tone.
-"Hyung why are you still asking about my health? It's been years now and I'm absolutely fine" answered the brown haired man, slightly pouting yet looking gratefully at his best friend for being so caring.
-"Then why do I feel something is wrong?what is this sad look for?"
LeeTeuk really knew him better than anyone. DongHae sighed deeply before saying in a low sad voice:
-"It's nothing. It's just...you know...I feel lonely". Tears started to form in the corner of his eyes.
DongHae never showed his vulnerable side to anyone, except of course for LeeTeuk. The latter, feeling the other's pain, held the younger's hand in his and said tenderly:
-"You know Hae, it's all up to you. If you want, you won't be alone anymore. I'm sure if you just open up a little, there would be so many persons more than willing to be with you."
DongHae shook his head:
-"And what about me? what about my feelings? Hyung, being with someone doesn't mean you're not lonely. I know it because I tried so hard so many times, yet my heart kept feeling empty. What am I supposed to do when this damn heart of mine keep telling me that whoever I was with is not..." DongHae hesitated then added "..is not the right person".
-"You mean it's not...him?"
DongHae looked at LeeTeuk, completely taken aback by his question that sounded rather like a statement. As if seeing through his soul, his best friend just said what he didn't dare to admit to himself.
-"Are you still dreaming of him?" asked the older man who was the only one who knew about DongHae's strange dream.
DongHae simply nodded as a reply, the lump in his throat preventing him from speaking. He tried to hold back his tears, in vain. He soon found himself crying so hard, almost sobbing. He hadn't even noticed that LeeTeuk moved next to him until he felt his arms wrapped around his shaking body. He couldn't hold it anymore.
-"It's driving me crazy! I...don't even know if he really exists, yet I...I think about him all the time. And even when I try so hard not to, he just haunts me in my dreams. How come I long for him when I don't even know him?...How come I miss him when I've never met him?..."
LeeTeuk, who always had the right answers, didn't know what to say this time. He knew DongHae wasn't crazy. And the pain he was in right now meant his feelings were more than real. But how could it be possible? He felt helpless; all he could do was to bring the trembling man closer and hold him tighter, hoping it would be of some comfort.
It was unbelievable and his mind couldn't accept it but no matter how he tried to explain it, LeeTeuk always came to the same incredible conclusion: DongHae was in love...

A/N (2): I just wanted to say that English isn't my mother tongue and I'm trying my best to keep it simple to avoid any mistake. However if you still find any, just let me know because I hate being a language murderer -_-
